Weedspell Records Limited is one of the rising stars of the UK music industry. We are a staunchly independent record label(thats code for; we're too small for anyone to notice), with a growing roster of original, new talent covering a variety of music genres: well everything really, from pop to rap with everything else in the middle. Our view is, if its good its good.
Weedspell directors bring over 30 years’ combined music industry experience to the label. This experience covers music & studio production, management, music sales and A&R. While we are never ones to make a song and dance about it, our roster of acts currently enjoy sales and radio play around the globe. They also enjoy the respect and praise of hardened music lovers, journalists and industry insiders.
Weedspell is about getting our artists' music heard by as many people as possible. Our passion for music is our foundation and it enables us to identify, develop and pursue traditional and new avenues to achieve this. We are aware that sometimes traditional approaches and ideas can't be adapted to suit new trends, so we are not afraid of creating new solutions when addressing the forever-changing landscape at the cutting edge of music distribution. We like to think out of the box. We like to try new mediums which showcase our artists' talents, for them and for lovers of new and original music.
We're not about big advertising spend or huge marketing budgets or telling people what to buy in order to look cool. We're just about adventures in music. All that, and we have no money for all that stuff anyways, but it sounds good.
Weedspell is what it is, a small indie label that isn't afraid to move forward, with a Death/Punk Metal band from Sunderland, UK to a hip hop artist from Syracuse, New York, USA. Its all good, a huge amount of fun, and if we can make a bit of money to feed the metre, then thats even better. |
